On This Date: 3 records set for Track & Field at Bulldog Relays; Men's Javelin record set in '05

On this date in the University of Dallas Athletics History:

Men’s track and field set a pair of records. In 2005, Dave Heekin broke the Javelin Throw with a 164’8” at the Trinity Invitational. In 2016, Jack Grubner, Gabriel Marasigan, Caine Mongeau, and Zach Zendt set the 4x1600-Meter Relay mark for the first time competing the event in the TLU Bulldog Relays.

Women’s track and field also notched two current records at the Bulldog Relays in 2016. The 4x800-Meter Relay was done by Bridget Kennedy, Ruth Fritz, Clare Basil, and Caroline Schemel ran a 10:35.22 time. The 4x1600m Relay was clocked at 24:22.54 by the same girls but in a different order – Schemel, Basil, Fritz, and Kennedy.
