#OTD in UD History: Baseball, Softball, and Women's Lacrosse Win Big; Bulmanski and Thibodeaux secure Individual Men's Golf Titles
On this date in the University of Dallas Athletics History:
April 7, 2013 – The Dallas baseball team blanked Southwestern University, 10-0, to secure the series win. Martin Cronin logged seven innings and pitched around two hits and a walk in the shutout. He struck out seven in the run-ruled final. Trevor Keele homered and drove in three, as UD scored five times in the 7th to push the lead to double figures.
April 7, 2011 – Dallas women’s lacrosse toppled TCU (Club) 18-3. Mary Salotto had five goals with all six of her shots on frame. Christine McFarland and Teresa Tesoriero added three goals apiece.
In men’s golf, Brady Bulmanski won the Hendrix Dual in Coppell, Texas. He was a Co-Medalist.
April 7, 2010 – UD baseball swept Dallas Christian College in the twinbill. Game 2 featured an 18-3 final score, as Dallas tallied a run in all seven frames and banged out 14 hits.
April 7, 2010 – Crusaders softball erupted for 13 runs on 16 hits in the five-inning, run-rule win over Blackburn College. Sandra Gallegos went 2-3 with four RBI and two runs scored. She homered and doubled for her two base knocks. Liana Reveles struck out eight and gave up two hits and a run.
April 7, 2007 – Dallas softball earned a pair of 9-run victories over Spelman that saw a combined 24-6 result in runs over the twinbill. Lizzie Griffin stood out in game one with a double, and home run in a 2-3 with four RBI. Rachel Arredondo was perfect at the plate going 4-4 and drove in three. Whitney Thomas registered double-digit strikeout numbers in both contests and combined for 22 in the doubleheader.
April 7, 2003 – Skye Thibodeaux secured a spot as a Co-Medalist in the University of Dallas Invitational at Euless.
