Winter Weather Suspends SCAC Contests; Alters Weekend Road Action

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – After a historic winter storm blanketed much of the league’s geographic footprint, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced the suspension of all conference competition originally scheduled for the week of February 16 through 22 (Tuesday through Monday). The suspension affects conference games in all team sports, including men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball.

Updates related to any rescheduling scenarios will occur at a later date.

The only University of Dallas contest that has been affected by this announcement is the home match in men's soccer versus Texas Lutheran University that was originally set for Saturday, Feb. 20. 

In non-conference action, the Dallas men's lacrosse home match versus Midland College on Sunday, Feb. 21 has been cancelled. 

Softball has cancelled its road doubleheaders at McMurry University and Hardin-Simmons University. 

The women's lacrosse road match at Hendrix College on Saturday has been cancelled. 

Baseball has cancelled its road series against ETBU.
