Troy Miller played baseball at the University of Dallas from 1960 through 1963 and basketball in 1959-60. He was captain of the baseball team in 1961, 1962, and 1963. He has a career batting average of .335 and was fifth on the university career list for triples (T-13th currently) with five and stolen bases with 34 (14th). In 1960 he led the team in batting average with .468, doubles, triples, home runs and stolen bases. In 1961 he led the team again in stolen bases. In 1963 he led the team in runs scored. He was also a starter on the 1959-60 basketball team scoring 172 points.
