Hall of Fame Spotlight: Gary Morris
INDUCTED FEBRUARY 1999
Gary Morris was the first baseman for the University of Dallas baseball team from 1961 through 1964 playing on the winningest team in UD history in 1963 and on the first, 1964, school team to qualify for postseason play. In 1964 he led the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) in stolen bases. At the time of being inducted, Morris boasted school records for runs batted in for a game, stolen bases in a season and in a career, as well as career records for at bats, runs and triples.
