Chris Conaty enters his third season as an assistant coach on Jarred Samples' staff at the University of Dallas. Conaty was named the first graduate assistant for the University of Dallas Men's Basketball Program in the summer of 2018 after serving as a volunteer assistant for the 2017-2018 season. His main duties with the program have been perimeter player development, recruiting, and operations.
 
During his time at the University of Dallas, he has been part of a staff that led the Crusaders to their first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Men's Basketball Championship appearance in the program's history in 2019. Conaty also assisted in guiding the Crusaders to a tie for 2nd-place in the SCAC during the 2017-2018 season.
 
Conaty has helped coach three All-SCAC First and Second Team honorees, as well as two Honorable Mention honorees, since arriving at the University of Dallas. He was also involved in helping d3hoops.com National Rookie of the Year and SCAC Newcomer of the Year, Spencer Levi, in 2017-18.
 
Outside of Dallas, Conaty has also worked numerous basketball camps across the country, including Mike Bibby and Isaiah Thomas camps in his hometown of Sacramento, CA, Jay Bilas Skills Camp in Charlotte, NC, and Hoop Group Elite and Academic Elite camps in East Stroudsburg, PA.  
 
Before joining the staff at University of Dallas, Conaty graduated from Texas Christian University in 2017 with a Bachelor's of Business Administration, majoring in marketing and management. During his junior and senior years, Conaty got his first experience as a coach at The Oakridge School in Arlington, TX, serving as an assistant for the varsity and junior varsity teams on Mark Coffman's staff. While at TCU, Conaty also served as a student assistant in the TCU Football recruiting department, through which he led campus and facilities tours, as well as official visits, for prospective student-athletes.
 
Conaty graduated from Jesuit High School in Carmichael, CA in 2013. While at Jesuit, he played football and served as a manager for the basketball team.
