Bio

Nathan Yacovissi was named the Interim Sports Information Manager in November, 2014 for the University of Dallas. In May, 2015, Yacovissi was announced the full time Sports Information Manager. His responsibilities are to coordinate, produce, and maintain all multimedia production for UD athletics.

This includes: news, stats, schedules, etc. on the official athletics page udallasathletics.com. Yacovissi also handles photo galleries, social media, and statistics for all 15 Dallas athletic teams. At all home events, Yacovissi is responsible for inputting statistics and exchanging to appropriate contacts during pre-game and postgame. Additionally, he coordinates setup for all gameday athletic events and troubleshoots any technology or equipment issues. This involves the scoreboard, internet, audio, and online streaming with College TV Ticket. 

Prior to joining the University of Dallas staff, Yacovissi moved to the DFW area in May, 2013 to begin pursuing a Master’s in Kinesiology at Dallas Baptist University. He completed his Master's of Education in Kinesiology in May, 2015. 

While at DBU, Yacovissi served in the Athletics Department as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant. Yacovissi primarily was tasked with handling the media contact duties for men’s/women’s soccer in the fall, and later in spring: men’s/women’s tennis, men’s/women’s golf, and men’s/women’s track and field. The graduate assistant also aided gameday needs and helped report stories for basketball and baseball as required.

A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Yacovissi earned his undergraduate degree May, 2013. He attended local institution, Centenary College of Louisiana, and received a Bachelor’s of Art in Communication with a focus in New Media.

While at Centenary, the local native served as Student Assistant Intern October, 2012 – May, 2013 that aided coverage in the Sports Information Office for all athletics and was the primary contact for Gymnastics and Softball. He worked notable events including: the 2013 Midwest Independent Conference (MIC) Gymnastics Championship and USA Gymnastics National Championship.

Yacovissi currently resides in Midlothian, Texas.
