Monica Heckman completed her fourth year as the Head Athletics Trainer at the University of Dallas, where she worked with the 15 NCAA Division III programs. In May, 2018, Heckman was promoted to Senior Woman Administrator.

Heckman arrived at Dallas after serving two years with the Hendrix College athletic training staff as a graduate assistant. Heckman worked with the Warriors’ field hockey, women’s basketball and women’s lacrosse teams. Hendrix is a member of NCAA Division III and part of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA).

Heckman recently received her Masters of Exercise Science at University of Central Arkansas.

Prior to Heckman’s stint at Hendrix, she attended Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. At Capital, she served as a student assistant for men’s soccer, outdoor track & field and football teams. Additionally, she was a trainer at Grove City High School in her time in Columbus.

Heckman was a student-athlete herself. She played 2011-15 and was a two-time co-captain for the women’s basketball team at Capital, and she worked as an intern in sports information during 2013. Finally, she also served as a first aid responder for GBA, Summer Olympics Basketball Tournament, Canter Run, Alpha Testing/Wrestling (2013-14), and Saint Charles High School.

Heckman is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
