Bio

Kelli Trautmann finished her seventh season as the head coach of the University of Dallas volleyball team, becoming the longest tenured coach in the history of the program.  She joined the Crusaders in 2017 as the 17th coach for the program and has posted an 83-121 (.407) career record, currently third on the all-time list.

2021, of course, saw two seasons played in the same year; the compressed spring season saw the Crusaders post a 3-12 record with a conference only schedule, while Fall 2021 saw a return to normalcy with a full preseason schedule.  The Crusaders finished 11-17 in the fall, with a 5-11 conference record.

The 2019 season saw Trautmann guide her team to a 17-19 overall record and 9-9 record in SCAC play.  In 2018, Trautmann led the team to a 10-win improvement in her second season with a 20-15 record marking the program's best season since 2014. The team finished 7-9 in SCAC play, grabbing the fourth seed in the conference tournament and advancing as far as the semifinals.

Prior to University of Dallas, Trautmann was at NCAA Division III Allegheny College located in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Hired in May, 2016, Trautmann was brought on as an assistant but served as the acting head coach once 30-year head coach Bridget Sheehan took a leave of absence for the 2016 season. The Gators posted a 9-16 record that campaign.

Prior to that, Trautmann was the assistant volleyball coach at NAIA Williams Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. The team went 22-15 and 9-3 in the American Midwest Conference (AMC) when she was an assistant in 2015. She was part of the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship Tournament Staff.

During the 2014-15 school year, she worked at NCAA Division III Millsaps College. While with the Majors, Trautmann served as an assistant coach for volleyball and was the assistant for the Track and Field team. The volleyball team in 2014 rolled to a 22-6 record and 11-3 in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA). The Majors led all of NCAA DIII in digs per set at 22.32.

Between these three institutions, Trautmann handled several responsibilities including: Recruiting, conducting workouts and practices, volleyball lessons instructor. scouting, scheduling, game day supervisor, and other related coaching duties.

In 2015-16 at Williams Woods University, she was part of the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship Tournament Staff.

Before assisting at Millsaps, Trautmann was the head volleyball coach, assistant junior varsity basketball coach, and head throws coach for track & field at Waterford Union High School in Wisconsin. She also held positions as a volleyball lessons and camp instructor, club volleyball tournament director, and Badger Region USA volleyball official.

Prior to coaching, Trautmann starred for both the volleyball and track & field teams at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The Warhawks won a regular-season WIAC title, a pair of WIAC Tournament crowns, and advanced to four NCAA Tournaments during her career. Qualified for WIAC Track and Field Championships in 2010 and 2011.

Trautmann earned her Masters of Education in Athletic/Activities Administration at William Woods University in June 2017.

In May 2013, Trautmann graduated from UW-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Science in Education, Physical Education, Emphasis on Health, Human Performance and Recreation with an Athletic Coaching Minor.
