Bio

Cato is pursuing a Master of Leadership at Dallas. Cato will be working with fourth-year head coach Matt Barber throughout the semester, and focusing on guiding the student-athletes that will be competing in the jumping events.

Cato earned his Bachelor of Science in Community Nonprofit at University of Wisconsin. He was a Division I Scholar-Athlete who excelled on with the Track and Field program. With the Badgers, he became the Big Ten record-holder for the indoor heptathlon, first collegian to top 6,000 points four times in student-athlete career, ranks a No. 4 collegian all-time in the indoor heptathlon, and is a 4-time 2011-2014 Big Ten Champion in the heptathlon.

Following graduation, Cato competed on the USA Track and Field team in the Decathlon. His career is highlighted by winning the 2017 Indoor National Championship, which followed his Runner-up finish in 2016.
